Day 1: Pick up from the Airport
Once you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Kanje Grand Tours driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and unwind. Later in the evening, you'll participate in a tour briefing to prepare for the safari ahead. Your accommodation includes Bed & Breakfast amenities.
Day 2:Arusha to
Lake Natron
After breakfast, we'll pick you up from your Arusha hotel and take you off the beaten path, up the Rift Valley Escarpment, and towards Lake Natron. As you near the small Maasai village of Ngare Sero, you will see Ol'doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Maasai people, in the distance. You will be driving through typical Maasai territory.

You'll embark on a guided bush walk to Lake Natron, where thousands of flamingos gather to breed on the pink-glimmering alkaline shores. Alternatively, you can take a stroll to a nearby waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim.
Day 3: Lake Natron to Northern Serengeti
You will set out early and travel north, navigating several tight turns and gradual climbs. Before leaving the Rift Valley, you'll take one last look at Lake Natron and then proceed to the Northern Serengeti via the village of Wasso.
Your first game drive will be in Lobo, entering the Serengeti by midday through Kleins Gate. Between October and December, huge herds of wildebeests can be seen migrating back to the southern plains. Lobo's permanent springs and open grasslands, dotted with kopjes, support a diverse array of resident wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, and leopards.
Later, you will be driven to your accommodations for the night.
Day 4: Full-Day Northern Serengeti National Park
Large migratory herds reside there during the dry season. The Northern Serengeti is a largely unexplored wilderness that boasts an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Its most alluring feature is without a doubt the enormous migratory herds of zebras and wildebeests that pass through this area during the dry season.
However, the North Serengeti is also home to a diverse array of resident animals, including crocodiles, giraffes, hippos, lions, elephants, and the rare oribi antelopes.
Day 5: Northern to Central Serengeti
After a relaxed morning, you'll head towards the Central Serengeti, dedicating the day to spotting the Big Five in the Seronera Valley. This valley teems with diverse wildlife year-round, including carnivores such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards.

You'll also encounter a variety of ungulates like warthogs, zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. Can you tell the difference between a Grant and a Thomson gazelle? Both species have white rumps, but the Thomson gazelle has a narrow black stripe beneath the lighter brown one, and its tail is entirely black. In contrast, the Grant gazelle's white rump patch extends above its tail.
Day 6: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
You'll embark on another thrilling game drive in Serengeti National Park before proceeding to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest caldera, is a designated World Heritage Site. Its impressive 600-meter-high cliffs sharply descend to an open expanse spanning approximately 246 square kilometers.

After reaching the crater, you'll have time to relax and enjoy dinner at your accommodation.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Then LAke Eyasi
You will begin your 6-7 hour game drive into the crater at 6:00 am after an early breakfast around 5:50 am, packing a picnic lunch for the day. Once on the crater floor, you'll have the chance to closely observe the local residents within this World Heritage Site. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed here. The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round, thanks to the abundant grazing and water sources that sustain a permanent wildlife population.

Later, you will head to Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Lake Eyasi Then Arusha City
Lake Eyasi, a stunning soda lake located in the southwest corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, is fed by the Sibiti and Baray Rivers. While you might have experienced other Tanzanian safaris with African Mecca, a visit to Lake Eyasi offers a unique adventure. The Hadzabe and Datoga communities, who practice traditional pastoralism and hunting-gathering, reside around the lake. Visiting their villages provides an intimate glimpse into their daily lives.
You might be invited into their homes, observe family routines, participate in traditional dances and beadwork, join Hadzabe tribesmen on small game hunts, and even make bows and arrows. In the early evening, you'll head back to Arusha for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro Then Arusha
You will begin your 6-7 hour game drive into the crater at 6:00 am after an early breakfast around 5:50 am, packing a picnic lunch for the day. Once on the crater floor, you'll have the chance to closely observe the local residents within this World Heritage Site. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed here. The Ngorongoro Crater offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round, thanks to the abundant grazing and water sources that sustain a permanent wildlife population.
